The Phoenix Suns are Favorites to Win the Pacific Division
The Phoenix Suns finished last season with a 64–18 record, which was good enough to win the Pacific Division crown.
Their record also landed the Suns the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Unfortunately, they would lose in the second round in seven games to the Dallas Mavericks.
After emerging to a 2-0 lead and eventual 3-2 advantage, the Suns would then lose two straight to the Mavericks in blowout fashion.
Fast-forward to present day, where we are a week away from the start of the 2022-23 NBA season: The preseason odds have come out, and according to Bally Sports NBA Insider Brandon 'Scoop B' Robinson, oddsmakers Bovada list the Suns as +7000 to beat the Brooklyn Nets and win the championship.
The betting company also has the Suns at +7000 to beat the reigning Eastern Conference champs in the Boston Celtics, and the Suns are also a +225 to repeat as Pacific Division champs.
Suns guard Devin Booker will be looking to prove the world wrong once again as he was left out of the NBA's top ten rankings. Booker is 12th out of 100 other players.
The Suns will begin regular season as they play host to the Dallas Mavericks on Oct. 19.
