If there was ever a reality TV show to be featured on one NBA team, the Phoenix Suns would undoubtedly be the leader this offseason.

Starting with their collapse in the second round of the postseason to the ongoing Kevin Durant saga (with episodes of Deandre Ayton and Robert Sarver sprinkled in), there's been no shortage of headlines and talk surrounding Phoenix.

The Suns opted to run it back with a crew that has played some of the league's top basketball in the last two seasons. Despite still being empty-handed, Phoenix believes all the tools are there to make another significant run deep in the playoffs.

Not everybody follows that line of thinking, however.

On a recent episode of ESPN's NBA Today, analyst Marc J. Spears chose the Suns as his biggest question mark heading into the 2022-23 season.

Spears offered this to say, mostly pondering the relationship between Ayton and the team:

"I'm gonna go with the Phoenix Suns. There hasn't been much talk about their collapse and how crazy it was and how disappointing it was," said Spears.

"Now, what's it going to be like this upcoming season? Everybody has their contract. Everybody has their money. There's no excuse contractually, not even with the coach (Monty Williams). And I just want to see if there's some hangover from Ayton. He's paid now, he's there. The dust is settled. He went to Bahamas (on vacation)."

Spears was then asked if the dust was really settled in Phoenix, which he closed with, "That's the question, that's what I want to see. Has the dust settled with him? Has he let it go?"

Is this just a product of a dry period in the offseason? Concerns around Ayton and the Suns are somewhat valid considering how things ended, although both parties came forward and expressed the mutual desire to put things in the past and move on to the new season.
