Mikal Bridges Takes Responsibility for On-Court Spat With Deandre Ayton

In this story:
Phoenix Suns SF Mikal Bridges is a fan-favorite, and rightfully so.
Bridges, along with being a tremendous basketball player, allows his warm personality to shine on and off the court.
However, in the heat of competition, everybody is susceptible to revert in other directions, and Bridges says that's exactly what happened during Tuesday's 113-110 loss to the Washington Wizards.

When speaking with reporters on Friday ahead of their meeting with the Memphis Grizzlies, Bridges took full responsibility for what transpired.
“I was totally out of line. Being in front of everybody like that, there’s people and players in the league that just do that for show, get on their teammates just so the crowd can see it and I’m the last person to do that. To do that, I feel like it was embarrassment on just DA’s part because I’m just going at him like that," Bridges said.
“It messed me up. It was [expletive] up on my end and I apologized to him and the team after for that. I could have got my point across after when it was just us in the huddle or something like that. It was just [expletive] by me. I never want to do that to one of my brothers, put them in a situation like that. It definitely [expletive] me up a bit.”
