BREAKING: Warriors Officially Sign New Player

In this story:
It was announced by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski that the Golden State Warriors have agreed to a contract with rookie forward Trayce Jackson-Davis. As Wojnarowski reported, Golden State has signed Jackson-Davis to a four-year deal, two of which are guaranteed.
Jackson-Davis spent four seasons in college at Indiana, where he averaged 17.9 PPG overall, and 20.9 PPG in his final season. Also averaging a double-double with 10.8 RPG in his final season at Indiana, Jackson-Davis earned several honors for his 2022-23 campaign.
It's always encouraging when teams can come to an agreement with their newly drafted rookies, and the Warriors have secured at least two guaranteed years with Jackson-Davis, with years three and four being non-guaranteed.
The Warriors will get a good look at Jackson-Davis in Summer League, which is a great opportunity for young players to show their organizations what they are capable of. While Golden State expects to contend next season, which doesn't leave many minutes for young players, they still want to position themselves nicely for the future, which makes the draft incredibly important.
Recently signing Cory Joseph, the Warriors have made some moves this summer, but will likely need at least one more addition to feel comfortable about their rotation entering next season. Clearly a piece or two short last season, the Warriors are focused on entering next season with a better roster.
