Luka Doncic's Updated Injury Status vs. Warriors Revealed
The Dallas Mavericks have released their final injury report for Saturday night's game, and superstar guard Luka Doncic has been upgraded from questionable to available. Doncic did not play on Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, so it's possible the Mavericks were always planning to play him in just one half of this back-to-back set, since he is now good to go for this game vs. Golden State.
The Mavericks fell to the Timberwolves without Doncic, and have another tough test on their hands with the Warriors on Saturday. With Golden State coming off a very bad loss to a shorthanded Miami Heat group, there should be a sense of urgency that they approach this game against the Mavericks with, especially now that Doncic is in.
This is a big game for both teams, because while the Warriors are still on the outside looking in at the Western Conference playoff picture, they expect to be firmly in the mix by the time the season ends. That makes every game against Western Conference playoff teams important for tiebreaker and seeding scenarios, even if the Warriors are currently far from that being a factor right now due to their poor record.
The status of Doncic was the biggest pregame story, and he has now been ruled in for this big time game.
