Already without Draymond Green due to his suspension, the Golden State Warriors unexpectedly listed both Andrew Wiggins and Gary Payton II on their Game 3 injury report. Both Wiggins and Payton were listed as available for Game 2, but they have now been downgraded to questionable for Game 3.

This injury report was unexpected, as neither Wiggins nor Payton seemed to suffer any injuries last game, but the injury report does vaguely explain what is going on with each player. For Wiggins, he is being listed as questionable with right shoulder soreness, and for Payton it is an illness that has his status in question.

This feels like very dangerous territory for the Warriors, as they are already facing an 0-2 deficit, and now may be without three of their top defenders. With Green already sidelined, the potential absences of Wiggins and Payton would give the Warriors no real answers for the perimeter attack of Sacramento.

Having already struggled to contain players like De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk, Golden State will be in big trouble in Game 3 if Wiggins and Payton cannot go. It feels like the Warriors need to win both of these games at home to have a chance in this series, because heading back to Sacramento on the brink of elimination would be incredibly difficult to overcome.
