Chris Paul Gets Honest About Shocking Trade to Warriors

In an interview with Lindsay Czarniak, Chris Paul discussed his shocking trade from the Washington Wizards to the Golden State Warriors. Paul said he is very excited to compete alongside Golden State's core, and hopes he can help them win another championship.

"I'm excited, I'm grateful," Paul said. "To get a opportunity, to get an opportunity to play with that core group of players, Steph, Klay, Draymond, Looney, [Wiggins], all them, play for Steve… It just happened, so I'm just processing it all. I definitely want to get on the phone and talk to those guys and whatnot and see what's what."

On what's left for him to accomplish, Paul said, "Obviously it's that elusive championship. So going to a team with guys who have that pedigree. They've shown the ability to do it over and over again, with a coaching staff, with a primetime organization. As long as I've been playing I still love learning, so I'm excited about going into this team, this organization and seeing how I can be a piece or just be part of the puzzle to help our team win."

Paul's role on this Warriors team is an interesting one with Steph Curry already starting at point guard, but he's excited to help them win as many games as possible. While Curry and this group pursue their 5th title, Paul will hope to win his first alongside them.
