Golden State Warriors Sign Former Lottery Pick

In this story:
It was announced by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski that the Golden State Warriors had agreed to a training camp deal with former LA Clippers lottery pick Jerome Robinson. While Robinson did not work out for the Clippers, he has been incredible for the Santa Cruz Warriors, which is Golden State's G-League affiliate.
In 24 games with the Santa Cruz Warriors last season, Robinson averaged 14.8 PPG, 4.8 APG, and 4.3 RPG. This came just one season after Robinson averaged 20.2 PPG for Santa Cruz in the 2021-22 campaign. While he has yet to put it together at the NBA level, Robinson was a talented scorer coming out of Boston College, which led the Clippers to select him 13th overall in 2018.
While a training camp deal does not guarantee Robinson a spot on the big club once the season begins, it should give him an opportunity to showcase his ability and compete for a roster spot. That is all many players can ask for entering this time of year, and it's clear the Warriors like what Robinson has showed in their organization over the last few seasons.
Having played 70 regular season G-League games in his career, Robinson has proven the ability to thrive at that level. As previously mentioned, this has yet to translate to the NBA, but he is still just 26 years old.
