Jordan Poole Reacts to Question About Draymond Green Punch

In this story:
With Jordan Poole being traded from the Golden State Warriors to the Washington Wizards, there are many who believe his pre-season incident with Draymond Green impacted Golden State's decision to split the two players up. Poole has typically avoided questions about the incident, and did so again when asked about the impact of Green's punch:

Avoiding the question entirely, Poole's reaction to being asked about the punch again was pretty much what anyone would expect. Not interested in discussing it anymore, Poole reverted to a standard answer about his excitement to play with the Wizards.
Many within the Warriors organization have spoken openly about the impact Green's punch had on the team last season, including Green himself, who admitted he was unable to effectively lead for most of the season because of what happened. Nobody will ever know just how much that incident impacted Poole's departure, but it feels likely that the organization felt it was time to split he and Green up. While there were basketball reasons for swapping Poole for Chris Paul, many feel the pre-season incident played a significant part in the trade, as well.
For Poole, this should be a great opportunity for him to have a fresh start on a new team. With his role and overall play taking a step back last season, Poole will have an opportunity to be a primary option in Washington next season.
