Klay Thompson’s Honest Statement on Steph Curry’s Injury

In this story:
Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry suffered an ankle injury on Thursday night that the team is still awaiting official word on. Rolling his ankle in the final minutes of Golden State’s loss to the Chicago Bulls, Curry limped back to the locker room and did not return.
Speaking with reporters after the game, Warriors guard Klay Thompson said, “I know we're going to miss him if he does have time off. We've been in this position before, where he does have time off, and we just have to do it collectively. I know he'll be ready to go when he does come back, whenever that is, we just want to wish him a speedy recovery and to take his time."

On if he talked to Curry, Thompson said, “Not really, because if he is out, unfortunate, but it's part of the length of the season. It's hard to play every game, especially not have any minor injuries. We'll do well without him, we can rely on our history and how to execute without him."
Thursday went about as poorly as possible for the Warriors, as they not only lost to Chicago, but Curry got injured, and every other team Golden State is chasing in the standings won their games. Having done well to put themselves in a position to move up the standings, Thursday was a setback for Golden State in every way possible.
