Wizards Face Best In The West Tonight

Wizards Taking On Best West Team In The League Tonight

The Wizards will host the best Western Conference team tonight in D.C. with the Minnesota Timberwolves being in town. The Timberwolves are a team who has been in the shoes of the Wizards a lot over the years. They have built through the draft and although it has taken some time, they finally look promising. They finally look like the real deal. Tonight, the Wizards get to play against a team who are in a place they are hoping to get to soon. Karl Anthony Towns got injured against the Wizards last season which forced him to miss half of the season. He is coming off a career night where he scored 62 points. Will the Wizards be able to slow him down is the question and task at hand.

The Bottom Line

There is a really good chance the Wizards will get blown out tonight. That is not a knock on the Wizards. However, the fact of the matter is the Wizards are one of the bottom three teams in the league while the Timberwolves are a top three team in the league. The Wizards struggle defensively. They give up a ton of threes. Their perimeter defense needs a lot of work. Karl Anthony Towns is one of the best three point shooters not just in the league today, but in NBA History. He did a lot of his damage beyond the arc the other night when he exploded and erupted for 62 points as he made 10 threes in that game. They have to defend the perimeter against the Wolves if they want to win tonight. They also need to figure out what is going on with Jordan Poole. He has been a huge letdown on both ends of the floor as of late. Poole will need to have a good game tonight if the Wizards want to pull of the upset.
