Wizards Tough Stretch Begins Tonight Against Heat

Wizards Hosting Heat Tonight In D.C.

The Miami Heat are in town tonight as the Wizards are playing the host in a divisional battle. The Miami Heat had a terrible month of January to begin the new year as they went 6-11 for the month. They are hoping to get back on track this month. However, the Wizards under Interim Head Coach Brian Keefe have a new attitude. They won’t just lay down and drop the ball as they did in the past. They are ready to compete and begin this month strong although the road ahead will be tough.

The Bottom Line

The Washington Wizards are hoping to kick this month off on the right foot as they are hosting the Miami Heat tonight. It would be nice to get a win to get things started. However, that all depends on availability. It appears Marvin Bagley may not be available tonight and Jordan Poole is still under the weather. Jordan Poole is needed in games like this. Well, you may wonder why? Because the Miami Heat do not have a perimeter defender to keep up with him. Jordan Poole needs a game like this to get back to being his usual self again. This season has been challenging for him with his new role as a full time starter. If he isn’t available tonight, the Wizards will need to lean upon Rookie Bilal Coulibaly, Deni Avdija, as well as sharp shooter Corey Kispert off the bench. Kyle Kuzma will do what he does best being the alpha dog on this team. However, he will need support from others tonight if the Wizards want to begin the month on a good foot.
