Another Goal Accomplished For Tyus Jones

Tyus Jones Continues To Reach For The Stars

Last night was yet another loss for the Washington Wizards. They competed the entire game. Despite them losing a lot this season, it is rare that they get blown out. They are always making games close and keeping things interesting. Sometimes, they may lead most of the game and lose late in the fourth quarter. However, enough just doesn’t seem to be enough as they loss yet again last night to the Golden State Warriors 123-112.

Despite the loss, there is one thing in particular to feel good about - playing together. Ball movement is important in the NBA. That is one art of the game that will never waver or be dismissed. Tyus Jones is a big reason the Wizards move the ball well.

Last night, he topped his previous career high as he had a career high 17 assists in the game.

He had more assist than points as he scored 14 points in the loss. Jones is a special player when utilized properly. With those 17 assists, he only had one turnover to go along with it. Although he only scored 14 points, he shot 54% from the field and went 100% from the free throw line too.

Tyus Jones has been solid all season long for the Wizards despite what their record is. He has helped make his teammates around him better too. The Wizards are probably glad they didn’t trade him at the deadline. With Jones set to hit the open market this summer, the Wizards may want to look at keeping him around rather he is a starter or not. Either way, he is a player that fits what the Wizards not only want but need at the point guard position.
