Cowboys’ Micah Parsons Responds to Jahan Dotson’s Recruitment to Commanders

Washington Commanders wide receiver Jahan Dotson did his best to toss out the bait in a recruiting pitch to Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons. But it appears Parsons has other ideas about his future, as he made clear in the response to Dotson.

The initial recruitment came following news that former Dallas defensive coordinator Dan Quinn will reportedly become Washington’s next head coach. This led to Dotson, who played with Parsons in college at Penn State, replying to his former teammate with an old quote from the pass-rusher and the message, “We welcome you with open arms brotha.”

Parsons made his feelings on the idea known with just one picture and an emoji.

Parsons has one year remaining on his current contract and a fifth-year option, which Dallas will certainly pick up. But there’s a realistic outcome where the two sides agree to a contract extension before the fifth-year option even comes into play.

The former No. 12 overall pick from Penn State has 213 total tackles, 40.5 sacks and 28 tackles for loss over 50 career games with the Cowboys.
