49ers Week 7 Matchup With the Vikings has Gotten Easier

In this story:
In two weeks, the 49ers hit the road to face the Vikings on Monday Night Football.
The matchup isn't anything scary for the 49ers as the Vikings are only threatening in the passing game with star receiver Justin Jefferson. Well, that threat is officially gone now. The Vikings are placing Jefferson on Injured Reserve after he suffered a hamstring injury against the Chiefs this past week, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Jefferson injured his hamstring early in the fourth quarter and never returned following his exit. With Jefferson on Injured Reserve now, he will not be available when the 49ers face the Vikings. The matchup with the Vikings has gotten way easier. Jefferson was the only player who could do damage to the 49ers and make it difficult for parts of the game. They don't have anyone who can slow down Jefferson. Not even bracketing and double teaming him is a guarantee to work. The pass rush would've needed to be the key to slow him down, but now the 49ers do not have to worry about it.
Without him, the Vikings aren't a team who can present a real challenge if at all. Losing takes so much firepower out of the Vikings. He's the best receiver in the game and now they have to rely upon others to try to make up for his loss. Minnesota will be looking for rookie receiver Jordan Addison and K.J. Osborn to step up. Tight end T.J. Hockenson is sure to be the lead receiver too, but against the 49ers defense, he won't be having any sort of productive day.
The 49ers won't be overlooking the Vikings at all, but I surely will be. Chalk this game up as another win for the 49ers where they put up at least 30 points again and hold the opposition to under 20. I expect them to be 7-0 after this game because they will surely defeat the Browns this upcoming week as well.
