Another betting odds article coming your way. This time around the focus will be on George Kittle and his scoring ability.

DraftKings sportsbook has set Kittle's over/under for receiving touchdowns at 5.5. Last year, Kittle had a career high for touchdowns in a season at 11. He nearly doubled his original career high in a season from the 2021 season, which was 6 that year. A lot of the success for Kittle scoring in 2022 was due to Brock Purdy. Suddenly, Kittle was actually targeted, which wasn't the case with Jimmy Garoppolo.

So, will Kittle have over or under 5.5 receiving touchdowns in 2023?

Lock in that over 5.5. Kittle has gone over five receiving touchdowns for the last two seasons and I don't see why that will slow down this year. He's officially established himself as a lethal scoring threat both inside and outside of the redzone. What a difference it makes when the player throwing him the ball actually looks his way. Such a crazy concept there. You had to wonder why Kyle Shanahan never relayed that to Jimmy Garoppolo. In the NFL, you're either coaching it or allowing it. The lack of looks for Kittle was most likely a case of allowing it by Shanahan with Garoppolo.

The main way that will keep the touchdown tally down for Kittle this year is if Purdy isn't the starting quarterback, but most importantly if Kittle starts getting bit by the injury bug again. That was largely why he could never break five touchdowns prior to 2021. He just kept missing so many games and was always playing hurt that it would limit or force Shanahan to not use Kittle as much.

Aside from those two factors, Kittle should be able to get over 5.5 receiving touchdowns with plenty of games left in the regular season.
