Will the 49ers Have Over or Under 10.5 Wins in 2023?

Will the 49ers Have Over or Under 10.5 Wins in 2023?

In this story:

An impressive 13-4 record is what the San Francisco 49ers finished the 2022 season with.

It almost wasn't going to be an impressive one. They started the year 3-4 and were looking extremely sluggish/sloppy. Suddenly, everything started to click for them, and they ended up finishing the season on a 10-game winning streak. That is simply unheard of, but it was momentum that helped them when they got into the playoffs.

2023 should be the same but different for the 49ers. It should be the same in terms of a winning record enroute to the playoffs, but it shouldn't be another slow start to the season. Then again, that is kind of their thing as odd as it is. 13 wins was incredible last season, but it really isn't necessary for the 49ers to get that to make the playoffs. Double digit wins are enough, which is probably why DraftKings sportsbook has set the over/under at 10.5 wins for the 49ers this season.

So, will the 49ers have over or under 10.5 wins in 2023?

This might be the easiest bets to make when it comes to football. Over 10.5 wins should be easily achievable for the 49ers given how weak the NFC and their own division is. Under no circumstance should they fall under 10.5 wins. If the 49ers do not have at least 11 wins and a division title in 2023, then this team needs to be scrutinized endlessly and potentially even looked at differently.

Even with the questionable situation the 49ers have at quarterback, they still should be able to reel in 11 wins. That is how good this team is. 12 or 13 wins is where I believe the 49ers will be and should at least finish the season with. Their own division should supply them with at least five wins. Sweeping the Cardinals is mandatory, the Rams are always punked by them, and the Seahawks might be a split.

The rest of the NFC is easy for the 49ers on their schedule including the teams who were in the playoffs last year. Minnesota, New York, and the Cowboys are likely wins for them. Really, the toughest singular matchups that the 49ers have this season are against the Bengals and the Eagles. I would even throw in the season opener against the Steelers because the 49ers tend to fumble those games against even the weakest opponents.

Anything under 10.5 wins for the 49ers in 2023 would be a disgrace even with a playoff berth. I don't think it'll be any worry with them. It should be a cakewalk for them to achieve those wins.
