Will there be an actual NFL season in 2020?

Who knows.

Everything is getting blurrier day by day as the NFL and NFLPA are at odds (shocker) over the return of football with the ongoing pandemic. Of course, the players have a right to be hesitant and concerned. They are the ones who have the most risk of succumbing to coronavirus.

What bothers me is that the NFL had four months to get behind this. They had that entire time to layout Plan A, B, and C by the time training camp rolls along. Clearly the owners thought that this pandemic would have subsided by now. 

How wrong they are for thinking so.

This is a multi-billion dollar industry which failed to create proper safety measures. Now the question isn't whether or not the season will start on time, but whether or not there will be a season?

Or rather SHOULD there be a season?

There probably shouldn't be one. And with the way things are trending, it may turn out to be so. Players from around the league took to social media to voice their concerns and give the world some insight to their current dilemma.

The NFL has ignored the safety recommendations from the experts that THEY hired. We all love this game and want to go out and compete with our brothers. The NFL needs to provide a safe work environment for us to do that. #WeWantToPlay

What happens if a heavy portion of the stars in the league back out?

A lot of these players are getting a first-hand look at how the NBA and MLB are returning. There hasn't even been a game yet and there is already plenty of players being diagnosed with coronavirus.

And those sports aren't even as up-close-and-personal as football is. 

The owners care more about the money than the players. In fact, all the owners see is dollar signs when it comes to their players, who are they real reason we watch football. 

Will there be an actual NFL season in 2020?

I am slowly starting to have my doubts.
