Joe Burrow Details Offseason Additions That He Now Gets to Utilize: 'We Got Through it Healthy'

CINCINNATI — The Bengals fought through a tough stretch early this season, but now Joe Burrow looks fully healthy and he broke down what he's been holding back to NBC's Peter King.

Burrow nearly notched a career-high with 43 yards rushing in a game where he also posted a 134.8 passer rating during the 31-17 win over San Francisco.

“It’s tough,” Burrow said to King. “When you have an injury and you’re playing through it. You obviously can’t do some things that normally you can. But we got through it. We got through it healthy and we’re on the other side now, it feels like. My strength is still coming along. In the offseason, I worked the most on athleticism and explosiveness so it was tough to not be able to show that over the first couple weeks. I was able to show that today and it’s nice seeing hard work pay off.”

Cincinnati is now favored to beat the Buffalo Bills this Sunday night as that calf and explosiveness keep leveling up from the quarterback.
