Joe Burrow Explains Why Sunday's Game is a Must Win: 'We Need it For Everything'

Cincinnati's playoff chances drop below 10% with a loss on Sunday.

CINCINNATI — The 1-3 Bengals face daunting odds to make the playoffs with a loss to Arizona on Sunday, and Joe Burrow succinctly answered "Yes" when asked if it was a must-win game.

Since 1970, NFL teams who start 1-4 have made the playoffs 6.1% of the time. No team has made it since the NFL added a seventh playoff team in each conference.

"We got to go in and get a win on the road," Burrow said on Wednesday. "We haven't had a road win yet. We pride ourselves on the road. We're playing a really good football team, good defense, good scheme. You know we need it for pride morale. We need it for the rankings, we need it for everything."

They are only one game out of a playoff spot, but won't get another chance at an AFC win until facing Buffalo on Nov. 5.

Cincinnati has answered this adversity every time under Burrow. Another chance to quell the noise presents itself in the desert on Sunday.
