Sam Hubbard on Bengals Training Camp Plan: Zac Taylor 'Trusts us' Veterans
CINCINNATI — Sam Hubbard discussed Zac Taylor's approach to 2023 training camp with Kay Adams on Monday, diving into how the coach has found a nice balance of hard work and letting his veterans guide the young guys as needed.
Cincinnati has been at the forefront of the league in terms of player-friendly workout/practice schedules to stay healthy all the way through February.
"I think we got a lot of young guys in the back end, I'm speaking defensively," Hubbard said. "But at the same time, he's (Taylor) allowing us to take care of the older guys that have played a lot of football and trusting us to instill the way we do things in these young guys. So it's a little give and take and, you know, I think that Zac's got a lot of confidence in his plan. And how he gets a team ready for the season to go the long haul and we can really see how he's putting that plan into effect for us and it gives us confidence and they're doing things the right way to keep us healthy. So I like where Zac's confidence is at for this camp."
Joe Burrow wasn't able to avoid his calf strain, but overall the team hasn't had many injuries as we approach the two-week mark of training camp.
