Bengals Start With Two Defensive Players in Latest Major Three-Round Mock Draft
CINCINNATI — The Athletic's Nick Baumgardner dropped his latest three-round mock draft and has the Bengals addressing cornerback with Clemson talent Nate Wiggins at Pick 18.
Wiggins is the consensus 21st-ranked player in the class and the third-best cornerback.
"Byron Murphy could be an option here, too, to help Cincinnati replace D.J. Reader," Baumgardner wrote. "In Wiggins, though, the Bengals could nab one of the fastest players in the draft. Still just 20 years old, Wiggins has huge potential as an outside CB."
Next, Cincinnati rolled with embattled Texas defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat at Pick 49. Sweat is the consensus 53rd-ranked player in the class and the fifth-best defensive tackle.
The Bengals closed things with USC wide receiver Brendan Rice at Pick 80. Rice is the consensus 105th-ranked player in the class and 20th-best receiver.
