Former Bengals Tight End CJ Uzomah Signing With NFC Contender
Uzomah is headed to the NFC.
CINCINNATI — CJ Uzomah is signing a one-year deal with the Eagles according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The 31-year-old tight end spent the past two years in New York with the Jets. He was drafted by the Bengals in 2015 and spent seven seasons in Cincinnati. Uzomah signed a three-year, $24 million contract with the Jets in 2022. Uzomah finished the 2023 season on injured reserve with an MCL injury.
He joins an Eagles team that hopes to contend for a Super Bowl this season. The Bengals play the Eagles this season at Paycor Stadium.
