Derrick Henry on Upcoming Free Agency: Wants 'Best Shot' at Winning Super Bowl

The former All-Pro is scheduled to become a free agent for the first time in his career.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals are one of the favorites to sign former All-Pro running back Derrick Henry this offseason.

The Pro Bowler has ran for at least 937 yards and scored at least 10 touchdowns in each of the past six seasons. He made it clear that he wants to compete for a Super Bowl next season.

“I want to be somewhere that, whatever happens, that gives me the best shot of winning the Super Bowl,” Henry said on Bussin' With the Boys. “The business side is the business side. At the end of the day, it has to make sense. I’m not just going to accept anything because it’s a long season, we put our bodies through a lot. But at the same time, I definitely want to be on a roster that can go out there and put ourselves in position and be able to win games, get in the playoffs and contend for a ring.”

Henry would give the Bengals another explosive option alongside Chase Brown. The Ravens are a team could show interest in his services this offseason.
