Tee Higgins, Ja'Marr Chase Discuss Possibility of Higgins Leaving Bengals: 'I'm Not Trying to Get That Far'

Cincinnati can franchise tag Higgins or sign him to a long-term extension this offseason.

CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receivers Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase appeared on Up & Adams this week as Kay Adams dove into Higgins's upcoming free agency and the possibility he won't play for Cincinnati anymore.

The Bengals, of course, can franchise tag Higgins in the coming and make all of this a moot point.

"Nah not yet," Chase said about thinking Higgins may leave. "I'm not even trying to get that far."

Higgins called Chase his wingman as he weighs taking the best offer Cincinnati could manage with the best offer he could get on the market.

"That's my wingman," Higgins said about Chase. "I love playing with this guy. He makes me better in every aspect of my game and vice versa."

The two have made magic on the field together, ranking 19th (Chase) and 20th (Higgins) in NFL receiving yards since 2020.

"Neither one of us is selfish," Chase said about why they've worked so well together. "Whoever has the hot hand, we gonna feed it to them. We both know how to use each other. We know when to try to get each other on the same sides to get the double teams moved around so we work together when we play football and I think that's the biggest thing."
