National Voice Has Joe Burrow Poised for Big 2026 Season

Senior NFL Writer Albert Breer recently emptied his notebook on all that he has observed from Bengals training camp. Breer was very vocal on the current confidence level of Joe Burrow.

"Joe Burrow has gone into this year very confident, and its for a good reason," Breer said of Burrow's confidence this season. "On an individual level he feels very good about where he's at, he feels like he's able to do as much as he's ever been able to do as a quarterback."

"Last year, coming back from the turf toe injury, he was limited in his movement which forced him to grow as a pocket passer as a result, now he feels like he's taken another step at the position and is in for a big year."

Burrow has never lacked confidence in his career, but the urgency felt throughout the organization has given him even more confidence entering a win-now season.

The Locker Room Feels Burrow's Urgency

Breer's comments about Burrow have echoed from the Bengals locker room all offseason, earlier this offseason Burrow himself acknowledged his growth as a more vocal leader.

He has become meaner in an effort to bring more intensity to the locker room and set the standard for the team.

"If something isn't up to a standard, then calling it out right then and there," Burrow said. "Maybe a little louder than I have in the past. That's a growth as a leader that maybe I keep doing it, maybe I don't. I don't know, but certainly try it out and just try to bring a little intensity to the room."

Ja'Marr Chase confirmed in a recent interview that Burrow's intensity has been well received since training camp started.

"I like when he's f****ng pissed, I like the fire that he has. He don't always bring it out, he maybe did it once or twice since camp started," Chase said of his appreciation of Burrow's intensity.

Burrow knows that the Bengals best chance to finally win a Super Bowl is in front of them. He has clearly grown more as a leader this offseason, and the urgency to win now has only resulted in the highest confidence level we have seen from him yet.
