CINCINNATI — The Bengals signed reigning UFL Offensive Player of the Year Hakeem Butler on Friday.

The veteran worked out for the team in the morning, they opted to sign him and he was able to practice in the afternoon.

The 28-year-old led the UFL with 652 receiving yards on 45 receptions, averaging 14.5 yards-per-catch and also had five touchdowns for the St. Louis Battlehawks last season. He played wide receiver for St. Louis, but is officially listed as a tight end on the Bengals' roster.
