Josh Allen is now a father.

The Buffalo Bills' MVP quarterback and his wife, actress Hailee Steinfeld, welcomed their first child to the world, with Steinfeld announcing on her newsletter, Beau Society, that she and Allen now have a baby girl.

Steinfeld didn't share the day their baby was born, saying they welcomed her recently. Instead, she kept her message brief, saying they were savouring this time.

"We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes," Steinfeld wrote, via TMZ.

Due date speculation grew as Hailee Steinfeld missed the Oscars

There was speculation that Steinfeld was expected to deliver the baby in late March or early April after she was a no-show at the Oscars. Her film Sinners was nominated for a record-setting 16 Oscars. Those nominations included Ryan Coogler being in contention for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. Steinfeld's co-star, Michael B. Jordan, was also up for the Best Actor award.

Jordan ended up taking home the trophy, and he gave Steinfeld a shoutout while acknowledging she was at home preparing to have her baby.

"I want to thank Warner Brothers. I want to thank Mike and Pam for believing in this dream, this vision of Ryan Coogler, and betting on a culture and betting on original ideas and original artistry. And you're an amazing, amazing person. I'm so honored to call you a collaborator and a friend, and you gave me the opportunity and space for me to be seen. And I love you too, bro. Love you to death. I would like to thank, who, my incredible cast Wunmi. Thank you so much for giving Smoke the opportunity to be him," Jordan said.

"Hailee at home, you know, she's you know, get ready to have a baby right now. Thank you so much for being the other other other half of Stack."

Fans also speculated that Steinfeld posing with blue flowers in a recent newsletter was a hint they would have a boy, but that wasn't the case.

Allen and Steinfeld began dating in May 2023 and were engaged in late November 2024. The two have done their best to keep their lives private, although Steinfeld does share looks inside their lives occasionally through her newsletter.

The couple was married on May 31, 2025, in a ceremony in California.
