A former undrafted free agent and member of the Cleveland Browns looks to be calling it a career in the NFL. WR Isaiah Weston has been placed on the reserve/retired list, per the team.

Weston was an undrafted free agent out of Northern Iowa that caught the eyes of scouts with his legit 4.4 40-yard dash speed at 6-foot-4 inches. Weston was 24 years old when he came out of college, so that was one factor in him not being drafted.

The other factor was the ACL injuries, he has had multiple of them and that’s likely the reason he’s calling it a career. Injuries are an unfortunate part of the game and they hit Weston hard at the college level. Through a couple of days of OTAs, Weston was unable to perform.

Weston spent last season on the Browns’ practice squad and never made his NFL debut.

There was no real chance that Westin was going to make the Browns’ wide receiver room but he was a name to watch that could have made it to the practice squad. Now, it looks like Weston is on his way out of the league.
