Cardinals Sign Former Cleveland Browns Wide Receiver
A former Cleveland Browns wide receiver has found himself a new home in the National Football League. Davion Davis is signing with the Arizona Cardinals, according to a report. Davis spent some time with the Browns in 2021.
Davis was suspended the first two games of the 2021 season for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy and the Browns waived him once the suspension was over. If you remember back to the 2021 preseason you will remember that Davis played pretty well for the Browns and was an exciting part of the ramp-up for the 2021 season.
After being cut by the Browns, Davis was signed by the Houston Texans and appeared in three games. Since then, Davis has spent time in the USFL with the Birmingham Stallions. Davis had 39 catches for 575 receiving yards in the latest USFL season, which was second in the league.
Davis is a 5-foot-11 former Sam Houston State standout. Now embarking on a new chance with the Cardinals, it will be interesting to see what Davis makes of it.
