The dust has settled and the reviews are in: The Arizona Cardinals were one of the biggest winners from the 2023 NFL Draft.
"New GM Monti Ossenfort quickly got to work, importing nine rookies to a roster that needed a talent infusion. Trading the No. 3 pick to Houston and ultimately winding up with OL Paris Johnson Jr. at No. 6 to protect recuperating QB Kyler Murray – while adding a first-rounder in 2024, among other assets – are indicative of a strong weekend," said USA Today, one of many publications to list them as winners over draft weekend.
The Cardinals did some great things in 2023, but how they set themselves up for success in 2024 is even more admirable.
As of now, the Cardinals have the following picks to work with next season.

That's a total of 11 picks in the draft, including six in he first two days. Should the Cardinals move on from Budda Baker or DeAndre Hopkins, that number could jump as well.
The most optimal thing about this class are the two first-round picks, the other of their own belongs to Houston - a team expected to struggle.
If things go as expected, both Arizona and Houston could potentially finish in the top five of next year's draft order.
There's plenty of time for things to sort themselves between now and next draft day, but the Cardinals have done a great job of positioning themselves for the future.
