ChatGPT Ranks Top Five Cardinals Players of All-Time

Artificial Intelligence gives their shot at listing the top five Arizona Cardinals players in franchise history.

When it comes to discussing the greats in Arizona Cardinals history, there's a few different choices to put on the metaphorical Mount Rushmore.

There's some obvious fits, which normally spans around 3-4 players before discussion really begins. Then you get into the discussion of factoring in modern players and that's where conversations at sports bars and barbershops really get interesting.

When it comes to ChatGPT - who as an artificial intelligence program has never watched a second of Cardinals football - this is how their top five in franchise history shakes out:

ChatGPT Ranks Top Five Cardinals Players of All-Time

Larry Fitzgerald (Wide Receiver): "Fitzgerald is widely regarded as one of the best wide receivers of his generation. He spent his entire NFL career with the Cardinals, amassing numerous records and accolades."

Kurt Warner (Quarterback): "Warner led the Cardinals to their first Super Bowl appearance in the 2008 season. He was known for his incredible passing ability and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame."

Aeneas Williams (Cornerback/Safety): "Williams was a dominant defensive back and played the majority of his career with the Cardinals. He was a shutdown cornerback and earned multiple Pro Bowl selections."

Adrian Wilson (Safety): "Wilson was a hard-hitting safety and a key player in the Cardinals' defense for many years. He holds several franchise records and was known for his versatility and playmaking ability."

Roger Wehrli (Cornerback): "Wehrli was a standout cornerback for the Cardinals during the 1970s. He was a seven-time Pro Bowler and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame."

It's a fairly solid list, though some will argue about the omission of Pat Tillman. There's no doubting Larry Fitzgerald belongs at No. 1, and even though Kurt Warner spent time elsewhere (and also won a Super Bowl elsewhere before joining Arizona), he deserves to be atop the other names, too.
