Cardinals Reportedly Hire Klayton Adams as OL Coach

In this story:
The Arizona Cardinals have been quite busy in building their coaching tree, and a new name has reportedly been added.
ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the Cardinals have landed on Klayton Adams as their new offensive line coach.
Cardinals are hiring Klayton Adams as their OL coach. Adams was the Colts’ TEs coach the previous two seasons and recently had joined Stanford’s staff as its run-game coordinator and OL coach.

Adams (40-years-old) began his NFL journey in 2019 with the Indianapolis Colts as their assistant offensive line coach after spending over a decade in the college ranks. In 2021 he was promoted to tight ends coach and spent last season in that role as well.
Adams previously accepted a job on Stanford's staff as their offensive line coach/run game coordinator before being lured away by Gannon. He also previously took a role with Arizona State as their offensive line coach in 2021 before shortly returning to Indianapolis before the season started.
Adams is another young addition to a staff that features Gannon (40), OC Drew Petzing (35) and DC Nick Rallis (29). Special teams coach Jeff Rodgers (44) is currently the oldest person in the newly assembled staff.
Gannon told NBC Sports' Peter King that age isn't an issue:
"You know, I talked about in the interview and the other guys that I interviewed for those jobs were all on the younger side, too, probably. One defensive guy was a little bit older. Age isn’t a prerequisite for firepower. I’ve always thought that," Gannon said.
"When we got to Philly, we had the youngest staff in the NFL. There’s a reason that our [players] ran into the building to come to work. I love that. I’m gonna have some guys with major, major experience worked into the staff because I value that, too. But as far as who’s running the offense and the defense, age was never a factor for me – what was in their brain and what was in their heart is. It’s capacity and character. That’s what I’m looking for in a staff.”
The Cardinals are set to see four of their five starting offensive linemen from last season enter free agency.
