Cardinals WR Room Near Bottom of NFL Rankings

In this story:
Expectations for the Arizona Cardinals in 2023 aren't exactly through the roof thanks to the current construction of the roster. Some vital names were lost on both sides of the ball, and the Cardinals will be under the guidance of first-year head coach Jonathan Gannon without quarterback Kyler Murray thanks to his rehab from a torn ACL.
If there was any position group that could see Arizona excel, it was their depth at wide receiver - though their main headliner in DeAndre Hopkins is now out of the picture.
Pro Football Focus ranked Arizona's receiving corps at No. 28 in the league.
"The Cardinals have it tough right now — they are without Kyler Murray due to injury, and now they are without DeAndre Hopkins. The top of their depth chart features Marquise Brown, Rondale Moore and Greg Dortch, making up one of the smaller receiver rooms (if not the smallest) in the league," said Trevor Sikkema.
"It’s hard to really boast this group, but if you do, it will be on the basis of dynamic after-the-catch ability."
Brown - entering the final year of his rookie deal - will be out to prove he can be a No. 1 receiver in a group that will be without Kyler Murray for some time in 2023 as he recovers from a torn ACL.
Arizona's depth at the position is by no means bad, though none of their top three guys (Brown, Moore, Dortch) have ideal size for the position. Zach Pascal and Michael Wilson (both 6-2) hope to pay dividends in that regard.
