When the Los Angeles Chargers made the decision to bring in former Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, they did so with the idea that he would be the guy to help alleviate their offensive issues.

Now, the Bolts offense was one of the more high-powered units in the league last season, but they were prone to weird lapses throughout different games. They would disappear for stretches, ultimately costing them in the postseason.

Now, with Moore in the mix, the Chargers are banking on the fact that he can get the most from this team. They return most of the same core from last season but are expected to implement more of his system.

Moore likes to use a two-back system to help spread out the load over a long season. He also loves to take chances, so we should see more of an air raid from star quarterback Justin Herbert this year. So much so that Herbert could see his numbers skyrocket this season.

“What I'm hearing: For the record, Herbert's current career highs include 2021's 5,014 yards and 38 touchdowns and last season's 68.2% completion percentage. Why could he surpass those marks this year? Well, he's working with a new offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore.”

Herbert's pure ability on the football field makes him one of the most special players in the NFL today. He also has plenty of weapons to throw to in this offense, something that Moore will love toying around with.

Moore helped build Dak Prescott into a top NFL quarterback during his time in Dallas. It's no insult to Prescott to say Herbert has more raw talent, because Herbert might have more raw quarterback talent than anyone

Moore helped Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott look very effective, and Herbert is a much better thrower of the football. Chargers fans should be in for a high-flying affair this season.

The offense should look like a well-oiled machine this year with Moore in the fold, and it should be a fun ride.
