Experience can never hurt, especially for team like the Los Angeles Chargers that have been trying to get their foot in the door along with all of the top contenders in the NFL. Unfortunately, they are missing a huge factor on their resume and that is playoff success.

The youth movement was pretty evident for the Bolts this offseason as they drafted an ideal WR option for their future with Quentin Johnston and a number of his TCU teammates that all went on a National Championship run last year. Throw one of the best edge rushing prospects in the mix, Tuli Tuipulotu, and LA did nailed their scouting reports.

But the core group of LA's stellar offense will be returning in the 2023 season especially now that Austin Ekeler is fully bought in. Considering that he is among the best RB options in the NFL and has also taken a huge leap as a receiver, Justin Herbert will have a lot to work with.

However, there is a certain free agent who has yet to find a new home after parting ways with the Dallas Cowboys and that is Ezekiel Elliot.

Elliott has been linked to a number of teams ever since hitting free agency once again but I do have to say, the Chargers would be a very interesting one. He won't command a ton of money, he has a lot of experience carrying a huge load as an RB and could be solid with less plays, and would allow Ekeler to catch more passes.

Bleacher Report's Maurice Moton certainly wants to see it happen.

"Moore could get the best out of running back tandem that features Ekeler and Elliott, which is similar to the Tony Pollard-Elliott combination he coached in Dallas. The former would serve as the primary pass-catcher out of the backfield while handling 10-12 carries per game, and the latter would grind out yards between the tackles and in short-yardage situations. If the Chargers sign Elliott on a deal worth less than $4 million, Ekeler shouldn't have much of a problem with the addition, even considering his request for a new contract."

I agree completely and believe that Tom Telesco and the rest of LA's front office should at least give this signing some thought.
