Washington Redskins - 2020 NFL Draft Live Blog/Open Discussion - 2nd/3rd Rounds

We're back for the second and third-rounds of the NFL Draft! The Washington Redskins as of show time only have one choice (No. 66) but could they get more?

Here we go!!! It should be a very interesting Friday night.

Who will the Redskins pick at No. 66 if that's all they get? Jamual Forrest has his top-five.

What if they trade Trent Williams tonight and get extra choices?

If you missed anything at all from Thursday night and round one, we have you covered.

Speaking of which - we had you covered from A to Z on Chase Young's arrival.

1.  He's here. (Column/Video).

2. Rick Snider Column/Video on the Redskins offering no drama.

3. Bryan Manning on what the experts are saying.

4. Looking back on previous Redskins No. 2 overall picks from Ivan Lambert.

We'll be updating this thread and post throughout Friday night and into Saturday morning.

I stole the following from my friend Patricia Traina at "Giants Country" but you should absolutely join us this weekend!

Here we go in the second round!

7:20 PM: A run on receivers already at the top of the second round. The Bengals open up with Tee Higgins from Clemson with the top pick and the run on 6'4 passing targets continue next with the Colts at No. 34 (acquired via the Redskins) and Michael Pittman from USC.

D'Andre Swift then goes to the Lions from Georgia.

The pick is in for the  Giants too!

7:35 PM : The Giants go defense as many expected and take Xavier McKinney from Alabama.

7:41 PM:  Kyle Dugger from Lenoir-Rhyne goes to the Patriots at safety, followed by Spotsylvania, Virginia and Penn State pass rusher Yetur Gross-Matos going to the Carolina Panthers

Robert Hunt, a guard from Louisiana, just went to the Dolphins.

7:57 PM: Laviska Shenault Jr. goes to Jay Gruden and the Jaguars at No. 42.

8:40 PM: Was really hoping Chase Claypool was going to last for the Redskins, which I did not expect, but instead he goes to Pittsburgh and gets to work with Ike Hilliard, the former Skins receivers coach.

8:41 PM: The Eagles who have seen Carson Wentz unable to stay healthy for the last three playoff years just took Jalen Hurts! I like this pick for the Eagles.

9:06 PM: Another door closed for a Trent Williams trade. Ezra Cleveland going to the Minnesota Vikings late in the 2nd round!

9:23 PM: We're getting closer to No. 66 and the Redskins third-round selection as we cross past 61.

Also - the Trent Williams to the 49ers rumors are picking up steam.

9:45 PM: The Redskins just took a skilled talent, Antonio Gibson, from Memphis who can split as a running back, receiver and kick returner.

From Chris Russell:

Some quotes and observations from Redskins Head Coach Ron Rivera and VP of Player Personnel Kyle Smith on Gibson's selection.

They love Gibson's versatility
