Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders' Star Power Isn't Running Out Anytime Soon For Netflix

In this story:
Everyone knows that the Dallas Cowboys are one of the biggest brands in all of sports. But that's not the only team associated with The Star that knows how to draw eyeballs and generate profit.
The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are a larger-than-life brand in their own right, and that has been reflected by the wildly successful Netflix docuseries, America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
Earlier this season, the Emmy-winning series dropped its third season on the global streaming service, and this week, it was announced that DCC is coming back for more.
Director and executive producer Greg Whiteley, who also directed and produced the wildly popular Netflix docuseries Last Chance U, announced that the series will be returning for season 4 in 2027. The official DCC X account also confirmed the news with a video on social media, writing: "Guess who just became a fourth-year vet?"

“Every season we get a little further past the performance and closer to the person. What excites me is more than just who makes the team — it’s what these women are willing to explore and let viewers see along their journey,” says Whiteley. “That kind of trust takes years, and I’m grateful we get another season to tell their stories.”
Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders senior director Kelli Finglass, who revealed her cancer diagnosis earlier this year, also raved over the opportunity to team up with Netflix once again. She is joined by head choreographer Judy Trammell, as two of the pillars of the show, who takes the prospective cheerleaders through a vigorous bootcamp before deciding who will get the honor of wearing the iconic uniform and white boots.
“Each new season is another opportunity to showcase the extraordinary talent, dedication and individuality of our team,” Finglass added.
“We’re proud to continue to share their stories and artistry with audiences, inspiring the next generation of young performers all over the world to dream big and pursue their passions.”

As has been the case throughout the first three seasons of the series, which , America's Sweethearts promises to "give fans unfiltered access to one of the most iconic squads in sports, capturing the lives of a fresh batch of DCC hopefuls, including rookie candidates and returning fan favorites."
In 2026, America's Sweethearts received Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program and Outstanding Picture Editing For An Unstructured Reality Program. We'll have to see which DCC members became fan favorites when the new season rolls around in 2027.
