While it may have been nothing more than a hypothetical idea thrown around during a slow time in the NFL, the idea of the Miami Dolphins trading Jaylen Waddle to the Kansas City Chiefs for Trent McDuffie sure got a lot of attention.

And while he's on a European trip, Tyreek Hill got wind of the hullabaloo and decided to chime in.

To refresh everyone's memory, it was former Dolphins executive vice president of football operations Mike Tannenbaum who threw out during an episode of ESPN's "Get Up" the idea of the one-for-one trade involving the Dolphins and the Chiefs' All-Pro slot cornerback.

Hill took to Twitter to express his support for not only Waddle but also quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

"My boy Waddle is the future," Hill posted. "He is better than I was at this point in his career and for people in this fan base to want to trade him is ludicrous.

"Him and Tua was special before me and will be special after I leave."

Hill accompanied both posts with the emoji showing loving eyes.

Tannenbaum's rationale for the Dolphins making the trade had nothing to do with Waddle's ability, but rather the need for a cornerback with the expected departure of Xavien Howard in the offseason.

Conversely, his rationale for Kansas City making that deal would be to acquire a true No. 1 wide receiver, ironically something they've been without since they traded Hill to the Dolphins two offseasons ago.

Hill is in Europe for the SR (Soul Runner) Speed Academy Europe Tour, where he will make stops in Paris, Madrid, Frankfurt and London.
