The Detroit Lions are a clear potential fit for the services of Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

After Amon-Ra St. Brown said on his podcast that he wanted to reach out to the 28-year-old defensive back about joining the Lions, a member of Detroit's defense has now weighed in, as well.

Cornerback Jerry Jacobs, who had a productive 2022 season after returning from an ACL injury, took to social media to share his feelings about Ramsey.

"Lmaoooo, at this point, we just gotta recruit Jalen (Ramsey)," Jacobs posted on social media.

The Rams are currently dealing with significant cap issues, and have reportedly been talking to other NFL teams about a trade to save salary-cap space.

On SportsCenter this weekend, NFL insider Jeremy Fowler expressed that the Lions naturally come up as a fit for the talented defensive back's services.

"I've talked to some teams this weekend to see what's going on, and the Detroit Lions come up fairly often as just a reasonable, potential fit because Brad Holmes, the GM there, was with the Rams for a long time," Fowler explained. "He knows Ramsey's game, they need cornerback help. They've been sort of a build-through-the-draft sort team, but could be one to watch."

In his first two years in Motown, Holmes and the front office have taken a strategic approach in free agency, passing on big-name players, in favor of building through the draft and finding players who fit the locker room culture.

"We’re always going to be very strategic and selective with our approach," Holmes explained, following the conclusion of the 2022 season. "Even back, regardless of how many resources you have, how much money you can spend, we always are very selective and strategic with how we go about free agency. And, that’s upcoming UFAs that are on our team, as well as external adds. But, it’s always going to be the same approach."
