Pro-Bowl tight end Darren Waller's career with the Las Vegas Raiders ended in March after five great seasons with the Silver and Black.

Waller, whose career was rebounded when he joined the Raiders in 2018, became a star while with the team and at one point, was arguably the offense's best player.

But after a couple of years of various injuries that hurt the tight end's value to the club, Waller was traded to the New York Giants for a third-round pick in this year's NFL Draft that ended up being Cincinnati wide receiver Tre Tucker.

“Not totally shocked,” Waller said regarding his initial impression of the trade, via Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “I had heard some things. There were different moments throughout the year that I heard I may be traded or I may not. So the actual event of it wasn’t too shocking. But I didn't expect it to be the Giants."

The Giants are the third team Waller will play for as he enters his eighth active season (he missed the 2017 season as a member of the Baltimore Ravens due to suspension).

“I’m done questioning God and what he’s trying to do,” Waller said. “He’s gotten me to this point. I know that he’s going to continue to have a plan for me, you know?”

During his time with the Raiders, Waller recorded 3,469 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns in 56 games.

In his incredible 2020 Pro Bowl campaign, Waller posted 107 receptions, setting the franchise record for most catches in a season, and finished with a team-leading 1,196 receiving yards.

The veteran has totaled 3,572 receiving yards and 19 receiving touchdowns in career.
