The Saints are needing to pick up a NFC South win today over the Panthers in the worst way possible.

New Orleans desperately needs to put together a win over Carolina to help keep pace in the NFC South. A loss would completely set them back and raise even more questions in a very tough season. Here's all the information you need to know ahead of kickoff today with our Pregame Report.

Saints Notes and Storylines for Week 14

Taysom Hill

TAYSOM HILL DOWN

Taysom Hill is not expected to play on Sunday, as the foot injury is the larger concern for the Saints do-it-all weapon. He's also dealing with a hand injury, but with him not playing, the offense will need to get production elsewhere. Regardless, that's going to be a tremendous loss for New Orleans.

DEREK CARR UP

Derek Carr has been trending in the right direction all week, and it was rather shocking to see him back on the practice field Wednesday after suffering another concussion and dealing with two other injuries from last Sunday. There's no denying his toughness and dedication, that's for sure. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport noted that Carr is playing with a rib cartilage fracture. He's going to need to play more like the player that caught fire after a tough start last week against the Lions.

THAT EMPTY FEELING

Last week saw a sea of blue take over the Superdome, and this week probably won't exactly see 'Who Dat Nation' in full effect. You obviously can't blame fans at this point, and it's just the reality of the situation. If the crowd is at least 75 percent full, I would be shocked. We'll see.
