On Tuesday, the Seattle Seahawks made their first wave of cap casualties ahead of the new league year. Four players were released as the team cleared over $27 million in salary cap space and more are expected to follow in the coming days.

Fant, a former first-round pick, is another expected cap casualty. The 27-year-old was acquired by the Seahawks as part of the blockbuster trade that sent Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos. Over his three seasons in Seattle, Fant has recorded 130 catches for 1,400 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Here's a look at four potential replacements for Fant in the 2025 NFL draft.

- Tyler Warren - Penn State:

If the Seahawks want to address the position early in the draft, the team has two options. Penn State's Tyler Warren is the top-ranked tight end in the class. In 2024, Warren recorded 104 receptions, 1,230 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. If the Nittany Lions standout is available at pick No. 18, he's worth a hard look.

- Colston Loveland - Michigan:

Loveland is the other first-round tight end prospect in this year's class. Despite losing star quarterback J.J. McCarthy to the NFL, Loveland had 56 catches for 582 receiving yards and five touchdowns for the Wolverines last season. His skills as a pass-catcher will translate to the next level, but he's not quite as physical as Warren.

- Harold Fannin Jr. - Bowling Green:

Fannin Jr. is a wildly productive prospect out of Bowling Green. In 2024, he had 117 catches for 1,555 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. After impressing at the Senior Bowl and Scouting Combine, Fannin has separated himself from the other mid-round tight end prospects in the class. He's still a bit raw and could struggle to block effectively in the NFL. However, Fannin's ability to get open is undeniable and he's as sure-handed as it gets.

- Gunnar Helm - Texas:

At 6-foot-5, 250 pounds, Helm has a little more size to work with than some of the other options. Last season, the Texas standout recorded 60 receptions for 786 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. Helm is the 113th-rated prospect on the Pro Football Focus big board and is someone Seattle could target in the middle rounds
