PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to get back on track, taking on the Indianapolis Colts following back-to-back losses in the previous two weeks. But before kickoff, they may have suffered an injury to their most important player.

According to the CBS Sports broadcast, quarterback Aaron Rodgers may have suffered a hand injury during pregame warm ups. Cameras caught Rodgers taking a snap and then pointing to his hand, showing center Zach Frazier.

"I don't want to speculate, but we've all had issues with fingers off the snap," former NFL quarterback Matt Ryan said as the cameras showed Rodgers shaking his hand.

Rodgers Injury Not Impacting Him Too Much

Watching the remainder of warm ups while in the press box, Rodgers' hand did not appear to interupt his throwing motion or release of the football. He continued to go through pregame as usual, working with the offense and taking snaps from Frazier.

He then headed into the locker room with the remainder of the players.

Unless something is discovered before kickoff, it does not appear Rodgers will miss any time because of the injury. At least not to start this game.

Steelers Options

The Steelers only have one option if anything were to happen to Rodgers. Mason Rudolph is the only other quarterback on the roster. Rookie Will Howard has his 21-day injured reserve practice window open, but remains inactive and on IR for the time being. The team has another week to active him to the 53-man roster.

Howard was injured during training camp, when he broke a bone in his throwing hand while receiving a snap.

The Steelers chose to release Logan Woodside from their practice squad and Skylar Thompson is also on Injured Reserve with a hamstring injury.

Pittsburgh's offense has been the single bright spot on the roster, keeping the team a float during the season as the defense struggles. Rodgers has led two 30-plus point performances this season, and has scored more than 20 points in all but one game.

Even during the team's two-game losing streak against the Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers, Rodgers and the offense clicked, scoring 31 and 25 points in the two losses.

Without any word from the Steelers before the game starts, it does not appear Rodgers' hand will force him to miss the game. However, as the game goes on, it'll be a situation to monitor.
