Steelers Hosting Clemson CB for Visit

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing in a first-round cornerback option, former Clemson Tiger Nate Wiggins, for a pre-draft visit, according to Steelers Now's Alan Saunders. This marks the third time the team has met with Wiggins since the NFL Draft process has started.
Wiggins is considered a first-round option for any team looking for an immediate starter at cornerback. The 6-foot-2 cornerback comes to the NFL after three seasons at Clemson, recording three interceptions, two touchdowns, 21 passes defensed and 60 tackles.
The team also brought in Rice wide receiver Luke McCaffrey and Oregon guard Steven Jones for visits.

The Steelers met with Wiggins at the NFL Combine and then attended his Pro Day at Clemson. Both head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Omar Khan were in attendance.
Pittsburgh added Donte Jackson to their cornerback room this offseason via a trade with the Carolina Panthers, but they aren't done adding to it just yet. With Cory Trice and Darius Rush as their backups, the team will likely add more impact names to their depth chart. Wiggins could be an option if he makes his way to the end of the first round.
At one point, Wiggins was in the conversation for the first cornerback off the board. He's now settled in with the rest of the pack near the middle to end of round one, leaving the Steelers in the perfect spot to select him.
While Pittsburgh has been favored to draft an offensive tackle in the opening round, don't rule out their interest in cornerbacks, and Wiggins is certainly a name to watch.
