Titans Among Last Remaining AFC Team Searching For A Quarterback

Regarding quarterbacks, the Tennessee Titans are among the last few teams needing a start quarterback.

NASHVILLE - Kansas City has Patrick Mahomes, Jacksonville, Trevor Lawrence, Cincinnati, Joe Borrows, and almost every other AFC team is set with a young, talented leader at quarterback.

Included in those that don't have a star quarterback is the Titans, who could be on the verge of selecting one later this evening when the 2023 NFL Draft begins in Kansas City.

Should the Titans have the good fortune to find themselves in a position to select one of the top four available in round one, the question will be, can that player come in and reach the level of most of those others in this conference?

Bryce Young, who will likely be the first overall selection tonight, is the only one of the four who has not been critiqued to death so far this draft season. For the remainder of this class, Cj Stroud, Will Levis, and Anthony Richardson, there have been multiple reports, including negative details of each.

So for the Titans, should they find themselves selecting from this group, there will be questions and a wait-and-see approach to them from the media and fans until they can prove themselves worthy on the field.

That said, prevailing wisdom suggests that because the Titans need a signal caller, they should make the move up tonight because there are no guarantees of being this close to the top of the draft class again.

The cost of moving up from No.11 to No.3, which has been the reported destination for the Titans in this scenario, will be costly, but if the Titans are convinced that the guy they are going to get, then they have to make this move now, and take their chances on what happens in the future.
