Only three months ago, Manchester City hoisted the Premier League trophy as the club claimed its second domestic title in three seasons. After an eventful summer that saw Germany win the World Cup and a number of star players find new homes, the 2014/15 Premier League campaign is set to kick off on Aug. 16.
The usual contenders -- Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool -- are eyeing serious title runs. Tottenham and Everton in particular are aiming to break in to the top four. But the Premier League can be unpredictable, as last season proved. Manchester United certainly weren't pegged by most for seventh, and Liverpool's meteoric rise to title challenger seemed unlikely prior to the campaign.
Leicester City, Burnley and QPR were promoted to the Premier League for the new season following the relegation of Fulham, Norwich City and Cardiff City.
