Houston Astros Make Roster Moves Ahead of Matchup with Yankees

In this story:
The Houston Astros have made a few changes to their roster ahead of their anticipated matchup with the New York Yankees on Sunday.
The Astros will welcome back starting pitcher Jose Urquidy who has been on the injured list after suffering from shoulder inflammation since April 30.
Urquidy held a 5.20 ERA through 27.2 innings pitched before suffering injury. However, he has posted a career 3.85 ERA and a 1.125 WHIP through parts of five MLB seasons.
Getting Urquidy back will be a significant boost to the rotation, once again filling out a rotation that consists of the same members of the 2022 World Series championship team, minus Luis Garcia.
In a corresponding move, Houston optioned Parker Mushinski to Triple-A and DFA'd Spenser Watkins.
The Astros will attempt to go for the four-game series win against the Yankees on Sunday. Houston currently sits 2.5 games back from the Texas Rangers in the American League West.
Urquidy's return will be a massive boon as the stretch race approaches.
