Dodgers Lineup vs Royals: Tommy Edman Out, Kyle Tucker Hitting Cleanup

The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to sweep the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday night and take advantage of this "get-right" series.

The Dodgers have come from behind to take both games, winning on Monday by a score of 6-5 and on Tuesday in walk-off 5-4 fashion.

“To relent and give up that lead again tonight, but to fight back and recapture the lead was great,” manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday night. “It’s just guys coming together and being ready when called upon. It doesn’t matter who’s playing, where you hit, who’s pitching. Just find a way to win a game … The last two nights is what we’re looking for.”

The Dodgers will look to complete their first sweep since June 22-24 against the Minnesota Twins.

Dodgers vs Royals Pitching Matchup on Wednesday

For the first time this series, the Dodgers won't have a two-time Cy Young award winner on the mound.

Left-handed pitcher Eric Lauer is toeing the rubber on Wednesday night coming off his worst start as a Dodger. The veteran pitcher allowed six runs on 11 hits over four innings against the Chicago Cubs. The Dodgers suffered their first loss with Lauer on the mound in 10 outings.

He'll look to bounce back and continue what's been a dominant tenure with LA, as he's 5-1 with a 3.72 ERA over 55.2 innings.

Opposite Lauer will be Royals left-hander Daniel Lynch IV, who will be starting a presumed bullpen game.

Lynch opened in his last outing against the Cubs, allowing four runs (three earned) over 1.2 innings. Overall, the left-hander has a 2.45 ERA across 47.2 innings this season.

In that game against the Cubs, right-handed pitcher Mason Black took down bulk innings, allowing two runs over five frames.
