Rebounds win games
Milwaukee coach Mike Budenholzer assessed that there was nothing else to blame for that sorry loss but the team’s poor effort to secure the rebounds.
“I mean that’s probably the thing that actually maybe we need to be better,” said Budenholzer.
"We just weren't able to make enough plays to bring it home."

Looking at the stat sheet, the Warriors totally dominated the boards, tallying a 65-48 edge in rebounding. Golden State also had 18 offensive rebounds, while Milwaukee only had 7.
Effort
It was ironic that the Bucks got out-rebounded badly when they actually lead the league in rebounds with 49.1 boards a game.
Budenholzer said it was all about effort that caused the Bucks to lose the rebounding battle.
“I thought there were some times where we just stood, expecting somebody else to get it. We didn’t go with the force and the mindset that we had to get every rebound,” said Budenholzer.
It also didn’t help that the Bucks were without Giannis Antetokoumpo, who leads the team in rebounds with 11.9 a game.

Kevon Looney led the Warriors’ rebounding domination with 15 boards, while Draymond Green also feasted in the paint after ending up with 13 rebounds.
Even Donte DiVincenzo, the 6-foot-4 guard of the Warriors, wounded up with ten boards, tallying more rebounds than Milwaukee’s 7-foot center Brook Lopez, who only had seven.
Bobby Portis Jr. was the only Buck who reached double digits in rebounding with 13.
Budenholzer said the Bucks could have done a better job rebounding the ball, and the outcome of the contest could have been different.
“That’s an area where I think we can be significantly better than we were tonight,” Budenholzer said.
